From Orange County and around boats my whole life, I’ve been a Mariner for 30+ years, and becoming a long-awaited 1st time boat owner is a dream realized (to say the least).  From serving in the Navy, Commercial Fishing in Alaska to driving Super Yachts and 300ft ships around the globe, I once held a USCG 2nd Mate Unlimited license for any size vessel any ocean. Exciting as it was, I was hardly home missing my wife and watching my young son grow.  I chose to leave this in the past, and  today, I’m a licensed 200-ton Master, a Yacht Captain for hire and owner of a charter business in Newport Beach.

Newport is home to many charter yachts, and for good reason, it’s the epicenter of “California’s Amalfi Coast”.  We have the largest pleasure craft harbor on the West coast with 840 acres of picturesque waterways and miles of breathtaking coastline including Catalina Island within easy reach, a must-see Mediterranean-inspired gem. There is so much to offer charter boat guests in just a day trip.  But what makes us different is our beautiful, luxury express yacht, the Aperitivo. We like to call her a “baby yacht”!

Only a 2021, she’s the wildly popular Sea Ray Sundancer Coupe with 34ft of luxe outdoor space to soak up the sun.  She’s loaded with everything you would want for a day on the water (including an 8’ floating dock) but at a fraction of the cost of a large charter yacht. You won’t find another Sundancer like her available for a boat rental, yacht charter in Newport Beach.  Plus, she’s my “baby yacht” and I’m the Captain keeping her perfectly pristine, but most important, keeping you, my passengers safe while having an absolutely fabulous time.

Time on the water doesn’t come easy to most, as our charter boat guests we strive to give you moments that will last a lifetime.  We named her  Aperitivo inspired by our other passion for “all things Italian”.  Having spent a great deal of time in Italy, we became accustomed to the daily ritual of “Aperitivo”.  A must-do when visiting there!
